Official TulaksHoard ProffieOS DIY Toolkit
The sophistication of the Proffie soundboard and operating system allow for the creation of an overwhelmingly immersive experience. Every sound effect of each saber font can be individually customized so that the user feels as if they are stepping into the shoes of the represented character. But in all my time as a customer, I had never found a saber store that demonstrated as much care and attention in designing their software as they did with the build quality, both in the repertoire of saber fonts and the way they are implemented by the programming.
When I began producing my own sabers, I was astonished by how much functionality of a well-built saber can be left out by lazy programming. Compared to my own sabers, pre-built sabers had coarser and uneven audio, caused by simple errors in memory formatting. Often, I would experience aberrant behavior with the pre-built sabers I’d collected, like a clash effect activating when it shouldn’t, caused by a mismatch between the build design and software configuration. And compared to the sabers I built myself, the sabers I’d purchased would frequently lag while changing fonts or immediately after ignition. Worst of all, the pre-built sabers shipped with underdeveloped sound profiles that left many of the sound effects as ProffieOS defaults, a fact I found unconscionable given the plethora of available open-source sound effect libraries.
After years of tinkering and learning the subtleties of ProffieOS, of scrubbing the highest quality digital audio sources to build polyphonic saber fonts from the ground up, I had finally produced a Proffieboard experience I believed to be complete, and that above anything else influenced me to open this shop: the desire to share a singular homage to a galaxy far, far away.
A download link will be made available immediately after purchase. This downloadable content includes all of the virtual tools required to install the TulaksHoard official programming to any single-bladed ProffieBoard V2 lightsaber, as well as detailed instructions to guide you through the installation process.
The kit also provides all the proprietary audio files involved in each of the listed sound fonts, amounting to more than 4GB of audio content across thousands of sound files. Upon request, it may be possible to modify the config file to accommodate a greater number of blades in many different configurations.
